Green-light your goal of going organic by ditching those outgassing plastic shower curtains and replacing them with an organic hemp one. You may be surprised at the difference it makes just getting rid of that toxicity you have been living with every day.
After looking at and feeling the different organic cotton, linen and hemp curtains I decidedly chose the hemp. It is three times stronger than cotton & doesn't wrinkle as much as linen. Due to its thickness and superior ability to absorb water I figured it would be best at keeping the water in the shower without the use of a liner and I was right. There is absolutely zero water that escapes my curtain.
One of my other concerns was the issue of mold and how it also loves natural fiber in a damp environment such as this. Hemp has yet another plus with its natural anti-fungal properties.
There is a trick, too, I found to get the curtain to dry quickly which is to put one side of it around the shower head and hang up the other side with a clip ring clipping 1/2 way up the side (see picture). This keeps it from touching the bathtub or wall allowing the air to flow all around it while it dries. Keeping the bathroom ventilated is a must. I have had absolutely no issue with any mold or anything negative with my hemp curtain.
You can see here there are many choices of awesome colors that are not only natural but would brighten up any shower & bathroom. Click here for more information on where to get one of these and the pricing.
It is refreshing knowing I made a healthy choice, can breathe easy around my fresh smelling natural fabric and enjoy the wonderful texture and color it added to my bathroom. It actually cheers me up every day.
I hope this idea cheers you up too. ♥ Nicole
