Excited over Organic: “Mirror, Mirror, on the stand who is this month’s featured brand?”
Mirror: “Eileen Fisher we know first hand
is today’s most organic in demand.”
This is personally my most favorite clothing line in the entire universe. My mother, always considered the best dressed wherever she goes, was the first to introduce me to it and it was love at first sight.
If you are not familiar with Eileen herself, this is a little introduction to her life. In 1984 with $350.00 and a University of Illinois home economics degree Eileen Fisher designed and cut her first pieces out of her own home. Here she is 34 years later with an incredibly booming women’s clothing line that is ethical, timeless. worn effortlessly with pieces that fit together and part of a life-cycle that is responsible.
Her elegant styled pieces are worn by women of all ages, shapes and sizes as she designs every piece with this in mind. These include upscale elegant business, casual and outer wear in petite, regular and plus sizes. Her ads feature real people instead of models and she prides herself in meeting the Social Accountability International standards for labor and safety.

I am seeing more and more organic pieces in her collection and this year is just packed with organic tops, shirts, blouses, sweaters, jackets, coats pants, jeans, dresses, ponchos plus scarfs and all are really fashionable and attractive to wear casually or for work. My work wardrobe is mainly her line.
If you didn’t notice, real people were modeling these spring clothes above. To shop these looks just click on the picture below (I always like to have an item # so I included them with each).
Cotton skinny jeans

Item #5573870 Stretch cotton shift dress in blue
Stripe long organic linen top
Item #5570066Long cotton poncho in green
Now that it is heating up I also put together one more nice summer outfit idea I thought you might like too.
This short organic cotton shell is a light 100% cotton top with front pockets which add a little flair in white. I find it very flattering when paired up with pants. Also available in blue, green, magenta and in petite (Item #5627190).It pairs nicely with these airy and breathable pants made of sustainable 100% organic linen for a relaxing walk along the beach, through the farmers market, a nice lunch date or just kicking around the house. I love this in the russet color but it also comes in natural, white, black and petite (Item #5579018).In case the sun is a bit much, I always like to bring a cover up along and this lovely 100% organic poncho does the trick plus it also works to lay a little one down to sleep on if out at a park. (Item #5648831).In the evening I usually need something extra to keep off the chill or sometimes just something to dress up an outfit for an early dinner. This is a beautiful organic linen blend poncho that fits the bill (Item #5579048).Now unless I am going barefoot on the beach I like to have some nice comfortable sandals for strolling around or to dress up my outfit a bit.
I am very partial to wedges as they give me 3″ of height but only a 1.5″ heal overall. So this summer’s go to is this jute-wrapped platform wedge slingback sandal (Item #5478124).
And for those longer walks where you needs some flats or if you are not like me and don’t need the height these are nice slip-ons that you can just throw in your bag and keep it light (Item #5546565).If you’d like to check out more of her collection you can shop it HERE.
Please check in next month to see who will be our Mirror, Mirror pick. Keep cool and thank you for visiting.
