Clean Your Air with Potted Plants


Scientists at NASA are pretty excited over these organic air cleaners.  In a 1989 study they found certain plants eliminate formaldehyde which gets emitted by furniture, insulation, particle board, building materials, glues, clothing, dry cleaning materials and others. I’ve personally used Rubber Plants, Palms & Golden Pothos . All are super easy to grow and maintain. You can show off your green thumb just by watering them once a week and placing them in a little sunshine. They will thank you by cleaning your air and love to be given as gifts.

It is also recommended to place  two “good sized” plants per 100 square feet of interior space (as you can see, I don’t  always follow those recommendations). This should keep the air clean and keep the CO2 at a safe level as well. The bigger the leaf, the
